The responsibilities willinclude: 

* Ensuring that all animals in assigned areas are provided with excellent husbandry care and adhering to standard operating procedures.

*Maintaining exhibits and behind the scense areas in a clean and neat state. 

*Establishment of appropriate dietary regimes for animals.

* Accurate record keeping and submission of monthly reports.

*Participation in the design of exjhibits and life support syestems.

*The operation of life support systems.

*Assisting with animal/ Plant collection as required.

*Ability to think strategically, assess situations objectively and solve complex problems.

*Ability tocommunicate with confidence and clarity, through excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.

The following are requirements forthe succesful candidate:

* Aminimum of one-year public aquarium experience.

* Matric certificate or equivalent.

*Good organizational, written and oral communication skills.

*Able to respond quickly and calmly to changing priorities.

*Demonstration of a strong interest in and empathy with marine animals in an aquqrium.

*A working knowledge of saltwater life support systems to maintian live animals.

*Ability towork indipandetly in the absence of suervision enthusiastic, energetic, level-headed and a good team player.

*Computer literacy.

*Ability to workflexible hours including weekends.

*Mimimum of class 6 commercial diver qualfication.
